Efficiency on hoes?

You can pack efficiency on Minecraft hoes (plant things for things), but what does that bring me?

It's not like the planted things grow faster or something.

This does not help because efficiency is only for nh pickaxe / shovel or nh ax so that blocks can be dismantled faster so it does not work.

That doesn't work any more than if you use a hoe of gold
