No java.exe found?

I plan to install Minecraft Sodium, but the .jar file is executed with the Broser instead of Java.

In the installation path under C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jre1.8.0_271 \ bin I can't find any java.exe.

Am I just blind or does it have a different name?

You either reinstall Java again. The file extension .jar should then be assigned to the Java application, or you can change the assignment for .jar files manually in the Windows settings.

Just enter standard in the search bar (Windows 10) below.
Then the respective function should already be displayed to you.
