I have recently had to live with the fact that my PC crashes when playing more complex games.
So far I've had the problem with F1 2018, Forza Horizon 4, Phasmophobia.
With e.g. CS: GO and Minecraft it does not crash.
Crash after about 1 hour
Hardware:
Mainboard: ASRock B450M-HDV
Graphics card: MSI GTX 1070
Processor: Ryzen 5 2600
Power supply: Thermaltake Berlin 630W
Perhaps you have already looked how things are with the temperatures?
Install a program to monitor the CPU temperature, e.g. Core Temp, and one to monitor the Graka temp.
Then you post here how much temp you have once when you have windows only and once when you have started a game.
In terms of temperatures, everything has been OK so far.
Can you recommend a program for that?
For CPU there stands for GPU no because I take that from the graphics card.
On chip.de. Enter monitoring. There are programs
I now checked the temperatures shortly:
CPU Windows only 46 ° C to 55 ° C
GPU Windows only 41 ° C
InGame CPU max 65 ° C
InGame GPU max 68 ° C
Then the usual procedure all games that cause trouble are tackled with file repair. Most providers like Steam from which you install the games. Your provider doesn't have it or you can't find it. Uninstall and reinstall the game.
Had done that at F1 2018 but unfortunately it had no effect
What exactly does crash mean? Does the pc just go off? If so, then the power supply unit. If the program crashes, it looks different.
How much RAM do you have because it might depend on it.
If I were you, I would use the MSI Afterburner to display the temperatures while playing and check the temps every 2-3 minutes. If you happened to overclock your processor / graphics card / RAM and it has been the case since then, the answer is that either individual chips of the parts get too hot or the system sucks too much power for the power supply. If the PC crashes with a blue screen, post the error code here.
