Do you absolutely need an HDD for a gaming PC?

Hi want to get a PC and install a 240GB SSD on it Windows 10 and League of Legends and Minecraft games but I don't know if that's enough and if it is enough I need an HDD? And does that affect azf's performance if you don't have an HDD

Ri

You don't necessarily need an HDD.

And yes it does affect performance, but good. Hdd is the worst hard drive variant.

If the rather modest memory of 240GB is enough for you, I would not get one in your place.

So if it's just the 2 games, the ssd is enough. But I would recommend you to stop installing an HDD at all and if the storage space becomes tight, simply install a new ssd

Re

No, your storage capacity does not affect the performance of your PC.

240 GB will definitely be enough for Windows 10, League of Legends and Minecraft. I would still recommend you to buy an HDD as this can quickly fill up to 240 GB.

Did you mean SSD?

Ch

Yes it improved

You don't necessarily need an HDD but you need storage space. The cheapest space you can have is when you buy an HDD.

You get about 3-4 times as many gigabytes of storage space per euro as with an SSD. And if you compare with an SSD version 2, that's even more.

In many games, you don't even notice the difference between ssd and hdd. With Minecraft and LOL, the loading time should hardly make a difference whether you buy a current fast Hdd or an SSD.

However, starting the operating system makes a huge difference, which is why every PC should have an SSD these days.

But if you ever want to play something like GTA or ARK you definitely need more storage space. And ideally SSD storage space.

SSD and HDD are nothing more than storage space, but the HDD is simply faster.

In your case, the SSD would be enough. If the SSD gets too full, it will slow down a good 10-20% should remain free for optimal use.

If at some point it is no longer sufficient, it is very easy to connect an additional one. Whether it becomes an SSD or an HDD depends on what you want to do with it. An HDD is completely sufficient for most applications. In most cases, an SSD can be driven like a Porsche on the country road in Timbuktu.
