I've downloaded minecraft from the allegedly official site and "virus total" and "hybrid analysis (VM)" indicate that the installer.msi file is supposed to be a trojan on it.
I have not opened / started the installer yet.
just downloaded and saved under downloads. Have the installer directly thrown back into the wastebasket and deleted.
is / would the trojan only dangerous as soon as I start the installer or after the download? I put win10 on again only a few days ago…
As long as the file is not running, nothing happens.
The calculator could have but infected on the "allegedly official page", simply by visiting this page, unnoticed in the background.
https://www.minecraft.net/...net/de-de/
that's the side.
she has https in the link.
should i put win10 on again or what do you think?
i can badly rebuild win10 every few days…
I recommend to create a Kaspersky Rescue Bootstick as a precaution. The stick must be created on an uninfected system. It works like this:
Install this tool: https://www.balena.io/...io/etcher/ This is called balenaEtcher, so you can create bootable sticks.
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk ISO: https://support.kaspersky.com/de/viruses/krd2018
Insert a blank formatted USB stick.
start balenaEtcher. Then open the Kaspersky Rescue Disk ISO, select the stick and click on Flash.
When done, just boot that stick on the infected system and scan the system.
Well, I will definitely not open this page ;-)
The risk of infection on the site depends on whether it is a "trap" or not - I can't judge.
As a precaution you can scan the computer with the Defender or boot the computer via a rescue CD (also USB stick) and then have it scanned:

That's not an argument if the system were actually infected…
If you downloaded it VERY SAFE from minecraft.net, everything is fine.
I myself used the file to install and Malwarebytes (with Adwcleaner) had no results.
If it is not from the side, DO NOT OPEN. Other sites incorporate viruses. But minecraft.net is official and safe.
And no, a file without running or opening it can do no damage. There you are sure.
Thanks for the answer.
would you be so nice and could the file, which you used to install scan with virustotal (on-line service) and write me, which programs and how many a Trojaner recognized?
Can I do it now? But one thing still exists: Some antivirus have a bad shootout. They say dangerous if nothing is.
I always use Malwarebytes because it works perfectly. Without bad rashes.
So, I scanned it once and can tell you that you do not have to worry. There were 1 in 54 rashes - supposedly a rash.
Thank you.
VBA32?
I've just stopped maybe 3 days ago, win10 re-set…
These are virus programs that always have bugs… How are they programmed to detect these viruses / trojans through certain functions of the scanned .exe and virus programs like Kaspersky detect nothing.
I do not understand.
either I do not believe the virus program now and maybe have bad luck and lose all my accounts, etc. Or I set win10 again on.
and in 2 days then again and then again after 3 days or what…
Delete all external virus programs. Download Malwarebytes and add the adwcleaner. Both need admin permissions if there are viruses to be deleted.
