Can I record Minecraft Letsplays and post them on YouTube?

ar

As long as it complies with YouTube's guidelines, of course you can.

Are we your parents? Just do what you like. In principle, it is not forbidden.

Normally you would need a license because the game is copyrighted, but I think almost no YTer does that (at least with MC), since almost no YTer knows that you need something like that or they know that Mojang doesn't itch or I would say Mojang is more happy because it's advertising the game and I've never heard of a case where someone got into trouble. In summary, I would say yes

Edit: I did a bit more research and found out that MC's eula says that you can, so yes you can publish the videos without any problems

Most Youtubers get permission from the publisher, often the network that the Youtuber is with. However, many publishers are now as far as there's universal permission for commented gameplay. Minecraft had this permission from the start. And indeed, videos have already been blocked even if the lets player has not obtained permission.

When I started YouTube, I had the same question. The answer I found on the Minecraft website back then is this:

You can put Minecraft videos on all possible platforms (e.g. YouTube) if the name Minecraft is not at the beginning of the video title.

So:

ALLOWED: The Beginning - Letsplay Minecraft # 1

PROHIBITED: Minecraft Letsplay # 1

The question suggests that you are still relatively young. So you can only upload to YT from 13 or something. Many ignore this and are usually not punished but if you are 8 or so you should leave it because you will probably be flamed in the Kommis. But we're not your parents so do whatever you want. Basically, it is not forbidden.
