Optifine brings Minecraft to its knees?

Hi, I installed Optifine for Minecraft (1.14.4) again. I had uninstalled it back then because Minecraft was no longer working… Before that it was great.

But now that I have reinstalled it, the game manages just 1 FPS xD despite the lowest settings

I actually only play it at 15-30 FPS. I've heard that Minecraft can be allocated more RAM, which should increase the FPS number. How can you do that? Why doesn't Optifine work? Can I somehow increase the FPS number?

It's easy to see how much ram you have, but I have to tell you if you have 15-30 fps with Minecraft, a RAM expansion will not help you much. Optifine is a mod and mods just need more power and if your pc doesn't do much performance then Optifine has not so much performance I recently assembled a hardcore gaming pc and the shaft with ray tracing shader even 700 fps if I play without shaders and without texture pack it even reaches 2000 fps well back to the question if you have Windows 10 and I think you have Windows 10 because who doesn't have Windows 10 in 2019? If you go into the settings then under system and then you scroll all the way down until there's info then click on it and then there's installed ram and there's a number behind it and then gigabytes so I now have 16GB ram built into my pc thing if you only have 2 or 4 gigabytes of ram, the whole thing will not work. It only works from 6 gigabytes of ram, so if you have checked how much ram you have, start your Minecraft launcher, then go under installation and click on your profile where you want more ram and then click on more options then there's jvm arguments and the line says 2G change the 2 in the half of your ram so for example you have 8gb ram then write a 4 behind the "G" and so on leave it all other text so just change the number behind the G.

You can increase the FPS number with special packs with low resolution. Look here for packs: https://minecraftbase.de/s
