Nothing much has changed in my opinion.
Well, the pvp and community area used to be very different. Today there are quite a few tryhards who have forgotten the fun of the game. Unfortunately for Youtubers it is a pity, because many legendary Youtubers no longer bring videos.
I don't play it anymore, but it was cool back then, I don't know how it is today.
True, a lot of Minecraft players had if you don't like it anymore, although they mostly don't know the nice old days.
I find the emotions and they are not like they used to be.
Now there are many more options and things to discover. The community hasn't changed much
Why forget the fun of playing? Winning makes it difficult, why should you hold back just because others are worse? Restraining rather breaks fun
