Enchanted golden apple in Minecraft?

How do you get an Enchanted Golden Apple in Minecraft?

Online I read that you do it with a normal apple and 8 gold blocks, but when I do that nothing happens.

The recipe was removed in full version 1.9, since then this variant can no longer be made by the player, but has to be found in generated chests

This feature has been removed. Now you can only find them in structures e.g. Desert temple
