Crash my pc and games?

Je

I got my new pc for about 1 month.

The Pc has:

- Ryzen 5 3600

- 1 year used RTX 2070

- Msi b450 mortar max

- Single channel Hyper x fury rgb 16gb 3200mhz

- Crucial ssd 480gb

- Seagate 2TB

All parts are new except for the graphics card.

Every now and then my PC gets a blue screen of death or the games crash while I'm playing. Sometimes SCP: SL crashes and shortly before it closes a window with Unity pops up. Warzone can be started 1 time until I close it again. After I open it again, there's something with a hard drive read error.

Since today I have also noticed that I have performance drops in Minecraft and SCP: SL. In Minecraft with Seus Renewd Shader I always had 90-120 fps since today only 30-60. Without a shader, Minecraft only runs at around 150 fps, which is actually not normal at all. SCP: SL always ran with 65-75 the game is known to be poorly optimized. Now it's only 30-45.

About 1-2 weeks ago I saw that my ram was still set to 2400Mhz so I switched it to 3200 in the bios. Before, everything went well without any crashes. A lot has crashed since I changed it. For this purpose I had a Trojan on my computer yesterday, which I then removed with an antivirus.

Does anyone have any ideas what the cause and how I can get everything working again?

In addition, my gpu has a workload of approx. 40% on the desktop, but that can also be because 20% of it goes to Wallpaper Engine.

I don't have any viruses or Trojans on my PC anymore. I ran everything through several times.

Maybe it's due to (missing) drivers

Je

Which drivers? The GPU drivers are the latest.

Sh

It doesn't really matter whether Windows Defender finds something in the hard drive scan or not. If the Live-Protect was broken by Win, the scanner is then worthless.

Set the MHZ number down in the bios and hope that you haven't grilled the ram yet because of that.

Create a Windows start stick with the Media Creation tool on another PC, hopefully more virus-free, than yours and reinstall Win ink. Deletion of the old partitions.

Because of the FPS drops go to the task manager after the reinstallation, set it to "performance" then go into the game and if you have FPS drops switch to the task manager. There you can see which components are currently running at or near 100%. It is probably the reason for the drops in the SSD. For the other problems see above.

I used Malwarebytes. I don't know how to reinstall Windows because I didn't build the PC. I just picked out the parts. As far as I know I don't even have normal Windows but cracked lol.

Je

Another question why should the ram be grilled? It should be standard 3200mhz and not 2400?

Sh

Windows costs 10 euro as an OEM on ebay. Anyone who gets something cracked and thus illegal and mostly virus-contaminated can hardly be helped.

You know what to do, do it or leave it, it's your PC that's not working mine is running.

Se

Was just my ridiculous theory, because my PC is so similar to yours or maybe it is due to your game settings or maybe you should start every game with admin rights, well I allowed myself a finished setup (rental PC) a few months ago, everything works fine Order.

About 1-2 weeks ago I saw that my ram was still set to 2400Mhz so I switched it to 3200 in the bios.

Simply changing the values is of no use to you if you don't edit the tension. However, incorrect values for the voltage will grill your hardware. For simple use, it is advisable to activate the XMP / AMP profile, then the hardware automatically regulates the clock as it suits you.

Before, everything went well without any crashes. A lot has crashed since I changed it.

What do you do if the system is unstable after a change? Right, you put it back to the stable values. If the system is still prone to blue screens, you may have grilled the RAM.

In addition, my gpu has a workload of approx. 40% on the desktop, but that can also be because 20% of it goes to Wallpaper Engine.

Deactivate the desktop engine while playing and enable the graphics performance for the game.

In addition, you should keep an eye on the system load while playing, so you can then also see which component is missing and make appropriate settings in the game to achieve greater stability. This also includes the temperatures of the individual components, which should remain stable in the green area under high load.

If the temperatures go too high, you should revise the cooling, you can achieve this among other things. Thanks to better airflow in the housing (laying cables neatly, etc.). If the CPU gets too warm under long-term high load, you should replace the cooler on the CPU with a stronger one. In the event that you have the boxed cooler on the CPU, it is recommended to replace it with a stronger fan.

The boxed coolers are not suitable for long-term high loads (as is the case with gaming) and should definitely be replaced. You can get good CPU fans from ~ 50 euro which achieve a cooling performance similar to that of an AIO WaKü.

Sh

It is always a bad idea to turn up the clock on a PC if you haven't dealt with it.

You said it yourself before moving it up was not stable afterwards so moving up was a mistake. And whether the Ram is really 3,200? You would have to look on the RAmriegel in a product description that can be misleading or incorrect.

Je

With 3200mhz the GPU is at 60% and the Cpu at 10% in Minecraft with shaders. I have a 240mm Enermax water cooling system. I now set the value back to 2400mhz.

Here is my list of points:

Check your graphics card driver to see if it can perform an update, as the graphics card has to update itself regularly. Since you have NVidia, all you have to do is search for the NVidia RTX 2070 driver and find what you need.
Look in the system settings to see if Windows needs an update because it can't be out of date
Don't overload your PC with too many requests. With your graphics card you can't allow yourself the maximum settings but should leave it with medium to high graphics
Even if you no longer have a virus, it may have caused damage. You should reinstall the applications that are causing problems.

Je

That should actually be 3200 I'm pretty sure.

Je

Thanks, I did everything but unfortunately nothing.

Je

There was still something about plug and play 2666mhz. But the very first setting was 2400, which I just changed, let's see how it goes.

Je

I set it back to 2400mhz and the performance stayed the same.

Je

I just set it back to 2400mhz. The performance in Minecraft is the same.

Test the RAM times with the Windows memory diagnosis.

To do this, press the [Win] + [R] keys while you are on the desktop. With this you open the "Run-Dialog" and enter the following there:

mdsched.exe

You confirm the whole thing with Ok and then select the option above to carry out the test immediately with a restart.

The PC then restarts and starts the memory test when it boots up.

In addition, you have a look in the event display to see which errors the system is displaying; this information can then be used to narrow down the cause.

It's easy to find the event viewer:

On the desktop press [Win] + [S], then enter "Event Viewer" in the search window and open it. You can then see what errors the system is producing and at what point in time this happened.

If nothing comes of this to specify the error, a new installation of the system would be advisable, but one step at a time.

The reinstallation would be child's play and if it should be necessary I can also explain it to you "step-by-step".

Je

I installed Labymod for Minecraft 10 minutes ago and now I have 120 fps again with Shader. Have now started this memory diagnosis and I'm at 83%. No problems recognized so far.

Je

Cyberpunk runs with me on the highest settings with psycho ray tracing with 40 fps the 2070 pulls it all haha.

Je

If no memory diagnosis errors were found, everything is normal.

Te

I have the 2060 and can't even manage the normal high settings and penance already fluid and graphics because my PC does not manage to display everything. Do not take over your PC and turn back a gear otherwise the parts will break faster and since the graphics card is not the latest anyway, you should not provoke it. When it comes to graphics you should either get a better graphics card or wait for the workshop where shaders etc. Are possible and easy for the PC.

Je

Jo ik but with something like Warzone you can turn on the highest settings. Have 100 fps you have to consider that I still have single channel. Then even more with Dual Channel. In Minecraft with shaders it is actually clear that every RTX card should display. The 1080ti, 1660s etc. Too.
