How do you search for diamonds in Minecraft?

What is the easiest way for you to get diamond armor and tools. Do you dig huge mines or do you prefer to trade with the right villager?

I don't like digging myself, I prefer to buy my armor from a blacksmith. How do you see it?

I'm looking in caves

Buying from Villagern is super lame. If then dig or go into caves. I even like that. For me, when I was still actively playing, it was an addiction spiral.

Strip mines always worked great for me. Always had fulldi within a few hours of play.

I mostly strip mine. Villagers are only there for me to box them when they get in the way xD
