I just found 9 diamonds right next to each other in a normal Minecraft survival world without mods with a normal unenchanted pickaxe, although the official wiki says there can only be 8 diamonds side by side. How are 9 possible?
This is probably out of date, it was just a coincidence that there were 9
There are up to 8 ores per ore per chunk. Sometimes in two chunks these ore veins generate directly next to each other, so you may have had 5 in a chunk and 4 in the chunk directly next to it. It can actually happen that you have 16 diamond ores distributed on one wire over two chunks.
Do you mean diamond ores?
I agree
Vlt it was so that there were 2 sources that were in each other
In which biome and at what level did you find it?
In Deep Frozen Ocean at level 11
OK
I've never been to Frozen Ocean
Is that frozen ocean?
Yes, probably
