Hi! Is there such open source code for Minecraft that I can change programming in the client? I'm not a professional in this regard, but things like changing the lock hardness or giving mobs properties from other mobs, for example, could one deduce from the code?
Minecraft is not open source. Microsoft paid billions for it. You'd have to write a mod.
Minecraft itself, you can only change skins of mobs simply by changing the source file. For everything else, you have to use mods or datapacks
Have you never heard of hacked clients?
And yes, mods also work - but tell him how, and not just that it works…
Change things in the client? That would be possible with a hacked client.
In this you have access to the complete code of Minecraft (both client-side and server-side), and can change it as you wish.
What you need for this is the Minecraft Coder Pack, aka. MCP. Here is a great guide for 1.8:
Of course I know hacked clients. I even used it myself for the first few years.
And there are enough videos on YT for mods and data packs that explain better how to create and integrate them than I did in the answers here. Please think for a moment
Yeah, but you could at least link such a video.
He probably knows that it works himself. I don't think that as a layperson you can come up with this question without seeing it somewhere else.
The problem is more likely to find out how to do it - it would be useful if you link him to a video. Please think for a moment.
Then link one, my goodness, and don't get people nervous * Facepalm
I can link you to the first one that comes up on YT if you're looking for what it'll probably get. This is then current for the latest version and better than my level of knowledge, which is also comparatively low in the area.
And I don't think he knew when asking the question.
And find out how to do it: Internet → Create your own Minecraft data packs? → click on forum or YT link → have a look and imitate.
That some people don't need help with pooping really amazes me…
Oh, you're only level 8, that explains it.
Most of the people here just don't know how or what to google for. Around 30% of the questions can be easily googled. Will you notice more often.
Level 9. But you have already answered the question in your own answer, why are you mobbing around here?
