Why is my Minecraft tree not growing?

I strongly suspect your trees will grow if you don't plant them in rows of two. Because then they only become normal-sized trees…

Hi, it works XD I've already tried a limitation with 15 blocks in height… I have a tree farm under the open sky because I have limited it to 25 blocks if one tree is higher than the other, that's just stupid…

Yes they do. Trees can be right next to each other and they will grow.

Spruces also go 2x2 … But then they get really huge. Black oak also has 2x2 trunks. At least in the Bedrock, which I know better about. 🤡

When I cut down a giant spruce, I get over 64 logs… So they are really gigantic. Have not yet counted how many blocks they are high. But it's a lot of blocks. 😁

Look at the picture in the question: there are 2 rows of saplings… They hardly turn into normal trees. 😆

That will just be the problem: the game thinks that giant spruce trees should grow there… But they only do that when they have enough space above and around them. 🤔
