Minecraft folder missing what to do?

I've bought a new PC and have reinstalled all my programs now i wanted to play minecraft got the minecraft launcher started a version and started it but it crashed instantly. After that i immediately looked in the .minecraft folder and there it is I noticed that only one folder exists with a few files. I have mycraft then reinstalled about 5 times and it has not brought anything I've also scoured any forums and have found no solution vllt can you help me?
