With 2070s only ~ 120fps in minecraft?

In all other games like bf5 or fn you run like it should but why don't I even reach 144fps in MINECRAFT? What could that be

Cpu: R5 3600

GPU: 2070S

La

Did you set more than 120 FPS? Second, it's Minecraft. Since I think you can't take it so seriously with the FPS. I have consistently with my 1080 145 FPS. Limited it to 145. But without limit I came to 300 I think. It also depends on whether you look at the floor or straight out. I don't know why.

na

Minecraft is extremely CPU-intensive and very poorly programmed.

Ka

Do you have ray tracing active?

Me

There's an FPS limiter in the graphics settings. As far as I know, this is set to 120 by default.

Set it to Unlimited and check your FPS again.

Me

Very badly programmed

well… Make a point. This info should be out of date, and you shouldn't write that without getting an idea of the code.

Since the whole thing is currently managed by Microsoft, I do not think that there are still large, messy code remains of Notch.

Especially since "badly programmed" does not always have to mean in-performant.

No

Na

I had the same problem that minecraft (rtx2070) lured me to 120fps despite the 240hz monitor. When switching to minecraft full screen, the screen briefly went black and switched to 120hz. But no other game.

for me it was because I used an HDMI instead of a displayport cable, for whatever reason. Brober also times out other connections on your monitor.

Question, 120fps curled (continuous) or fluctuating?

Na

You could do better with java du held🙌

Na

We're talking about minecraft java, the minecraft windows 10 edition with rtx (also called minecraft bedrock) makes almost no problems

Pu

Well, combining a 240Hz monitor with an HDMI cable isn't exactly smart.

HDMI transmits a maximum of 120Hz on FULL HD.

Na

No take full hd 240hz over 4k60pro with hdmi 2.0 passthrough on make yourself smart first

Pu

I apologize for my mistake. So far I have only dealt with HDMI 1.4.

Of course you are right. I thank you for the further development of my knowledge!

Na

All right and please excuse my choice of words, I really shouldn't have written that.

Pu

No problem, understand you.

na

The Bedrock edition is also completely clear. The java edition is still out of date… So the code

Me

Because the bedrock edition was also made by a billion dollar company and the Java by a single one in 10 hours…

But still I believe that the current Java versions have as "nice" code as Bedrock.
