With 2070s only ~ 120fps in minecraft?

In all other games like bf5 or fn you run like it should but why don't I even reach 144fps in MINECRAFT? What could that be

Did you set more than 120 FPS? Second, it's Minecraft. Since I think you can't take it so seriously with the FPS. I have consistently with my 1080 145 FPS. Limited it to 145. But without limit I came to 300 I think. It also depends on whether you look at the floor or straight out. I don't know why.

There's an FPS limiter in the graphics settings. As far as I know, this is set to 120 by default.

I had the same problem that minecraft (rtx2070) lured me to 120fps despite the 240hz monitor. When switching to minecraft full screen, the screen briefly went black and switched to 120hz. But no other game.

for me it was because I used an HDMI instead of a displayport cable, for whatever reason. Brober also times out other connections on your monitor.
