Tips for Minecraft Lets Play?

How do you like my Minecraft Lets Play and what could I improve

Br

So what I noticed right away is that you are using the "vanilla graphic" and why shouldn't you use a shader pack.
The microphone is good, it's also good that you talk, so you don't just let the game run through like a gameplay but also comment.
Maybe you could put some music in the background as well.

Would add to @BinazenCW that the ingame sounds are missing.

Perhaps for the future, that you can also cut a little, and cut out uninterrupted parts. (Nobody watches an uncut LetsPlay these days).

If you want to do it very special, you can also use the if B. Excavate large areas.

That all sounds quite complicated and is completely voluntary, but certain things have to set you apart from other letsplayers. Especially with a game with many possibilities to improve the recordings.

But not bad in itself at the beginning and I shouldn't be faked too much

OK thanks

Unfortunately I can't find it anymore, but I once had a YTber for an FTB LetsPlay. And I liked the edits.

He recorded voice separately from the gameplay. So he could comment on normally while the A Roll continued as a timelapse. That saved him some work in describing what he was up to now.

For music I would recommend https://99l.tv/. Or if it should be a little more chilled. Lofi, too. NCS would also be an option, but it is used everywhere now and that makes it really annoying.

When it comes to using music, I wouldn't take too much, I would also like to take a break or just timelapse.

You can also let the in-game music play. Whereby the problem becomes with the cutting.

La

Ok thanks, I would then probably play the normal Minecraft music, then it fits the game

Da

So Lofi, because mostly not copyrighted. Maybe there's also a label for it

Da

A texture pack wouldn't be bad either, I would like to recommend MumboJumbo's texture pack mix of mainly Faithfull. I like it because it's the vanilla graphic but with a little more pixels

La

I can try shaders, but they jerk the game and then the recording program

1. At the beginning there's silence, cut that out. Personally, I like it when everything is cut. This is actually the rule on YouTube. Can also do a few zooms in some places. That doesn't seem monotonous and is refreshing.

2. Don't talk about technical errors at the beginning. I don't find it so interesting, the beginning has to be entertaining to get the audience to stay on the ball. It's not that bad now, but you can say what embarrassing happened there. You mentioned it. That looks open, self-confident and you seem like a person who can laugh at yourself.

3. In contrast to many YouTubers, you speak relatively well. I can't explain it, but other YouTubers (only the big ones) can make something fun or entertaining out of something small. This point is so underrated. It is quite difficult to pay attention to the timing, the choice of words, the spontaneity, etc. Play another video after your video, which is more successful. The big YouTubers do it well and you can already tell a difference. They also have a little more energy and they speak at a reasonable pace, but it comes across naturally. How to do it: To watch out for this when you watch YouTube. So ask yourself, "How would I have said something to make it more fun?" and it sounds strange, but to gain more security, turn off the mike and the recording so you don't have the feeling: "omg, I'm being recorded, I'm a bit excited and I hope I'm not saying anything wrong!" It's best to have a friend (who doesn't know you're practicing, otherwise it would be cringe) and comment a lot.

4. To be completely honest, it is extremely difficult to have at least a few viewers in the Minecraft scene. These videos are a dime a dozen and there's nothing special about them. Even today I really don't know any youtubers who do a letsplay about Minecraft and who have somewhat high views. If you really want to do something, do a challenge, something unique, do a speed run or something else. Becoming a gaming YouTuber is also generally difficult. But: Unge, Monte, Gronkh etc. It took years (8 years roughly) to get that high. By the way, they only did it with their personalities, which they also developed and they stuck with it. Check out older videos of them. They make similar videos of their own kind, but somehow they just got better and better. I didn't find Unge in his videos as good, personable and entertaining as they are now in the beginning, but he has perfected it without too big changes and now he's one of my favorites.

Sry. That you had to read so much (if you did that) But I wanted to give you helpful tips and help you: / I have now often compared that with bigger ones, but that doesn't mean that you have to grow up. You might just want to do all of this for fun, build a small community, etc. But many people "celebrate" other videos more (which I also explained why that is) the goal was to show the differences, not what they do better in the sense of putting you down, but showing where you could improve
