I don't know how your processor works, but minecraft can handle the 1050 ti.
Even if it is not the strongest graphics card, it still manages many games on medium settings. GTA V, Fortnite, minecraft, some Assassins Creed titles, including Origins, watch dogs 2.
I'm more concerned about your processor, which is A) quite old and B) not very fast.
If the CPU were better, the GPU would be great. But to be honest, such an old i3 can hardly manage its own Intel and Grafichs. That's a lot to the big bottleneck.
My cpu did good business with my old gpu gtx 750 in minecraft 150 to 200 fps of course every now and then with frame drops I therefore gambled at 60 fps without frame drops
