My problem is that I want to play Minecraft with a friend. He plays on Xbox with version 1.16. And I on the pc with version 1.14. And initially it worked but after 1.15. Update has appeared on the Xbox, we can no longer play crossplay. Does anyone know why I don't get updates? (I've already checked for updates in the Microsoft Store…)

Minecraft updates come differently for all platforms.
At xbox, unfortunately, that doesn't work… We played together for months and suddenly an update comes and breaks it…
I would just wait here for the update to come, even if it's stupid.
