Antique scrap not available in Minecraft despite version 16.5?

With my Minecraft single player there's definitely no antique scrap or gold nugget in the Nether, although I'm using the latest full version. I made the game years ago, but kept updating it. Now I have checked with an XRay Mod whether it really has no antique scrap and it shows nothing… What could be the reason?

If you've been playing the same world for a long time, you have to go into new chunks first.

Nothing can regenerate into existing chunks.

If that doesn't work, I can't help you.

P.S That stuff is really, really, really rare. Maybe you just overlooked it.

I've already walked a long way and what surprised me a little that I didn't find any gold nuggets either, because they actually happen quite often…

It depends on how far you ran in the nether before and how high your chunks were.

Once you've found one of the new end biomes, you should surely find Debris as well.
