Minecraft server delayed 1.12.2?

I'm currently setting up a Minecraft server with mods (Vics Modern Warfare Mod). For this I have built a server PC that runs 24/7. If I try to join my gaming PC now, everything is delayed. The mobs are lying around like crazy. At first I thought it was Hamachi although I have a good stable line and the server PC is also connected in the LAN. It can't be the RAM either, because the server has a full 8GB available. Anyone have an idea? Maybe alternatives to Hamachi. (No port forwarding)

Al

Did you also assign the RAM to the server? Have you ever tried something like Spigot? As far as I know there are versions that support mods.

Ac

The version would then be called Sponge

Di

The server has allocated a full 8 GB. What is the difference when I try Spigot or Sponge?

Al

So when you start the server, you do it with a script that assigns 8gb to the server. You only have 8 gb or more. Because you should, of course, release something for your operating system. Spigot / Sponge is better optimized and uses less power and runs much faster than a standard server.

Di

Exactly 8 GB. If I go down to 4 GB it is too. But I try Sponge today and then report.

Al

OK good luck

Di

So now I've tried sponge. Without success. Also about Hamachi alternatives. Always the same.

Al

Well I'm not a fan of something like Hamachi anyway. Only causes problems. I think you will have to try port forwarding or more. Forward it only on the Minecraft port and only on the server.

Di

I added "nogui" to the start bat which only opens the "cmd". Now the server is running smoothly

Al

Ok then it was probably just a weirder bug with the gui.
