Minecraft Mods millenaire?

I'm in the mood to do a bit of Minecraft. Since I was not there for a few years, I just have to work my way back to it bit by bit.

Now to my question. As far as I can remember, there used to be such a mod that has led to the existence of settlements / villages on the computer. With those you could then act or knock. Is there still something like that? And if so, what's his name and where do I get him?
