Download files from other servers using your own app?

I started programming a new app that installs certain mods for Minecraft. The app has a button that automatically downloads mods from the Curseforge servers when clicked. Now I ask myself: is that even allowed? Can I just download it externally from the Curseforge servers? I use the download link that is usually used to download the mod.

Would be grateful for an answer ^^

Difficult thing. If Curseforge have advertising on their site, it is not allowed. If not, I would still ask how they see it
