Me and a few friends want to play some Minecraft again after a long time. Now I have to create a server, but I have never done that with mods. Does anyone have any idea and could give me some tips? Lg Symile

Forget Nitrado.

explain is here k * ck best you just look it

I honestly did not find a decent one 😂

Are there better alternatives? For me, the quality and playing without lags is most important. Lg Symile

Many modpacks you can select at Nitrado and install the same.

If the modpack is not available you have to select "Minecraft Forge Vanilla".

Nitrado himself explains it quite well. Forge version must be changed, the same as the modpack. Then mods, scripts and configs have to be copied to the server.

If the modpack itself offers server files you can upload them. Otherwise you have to copy the data from your installation. Here you have to pay attention that some mods do not have to be on the server, Optifine, Minimap, JEI, NEI, Inventory Tweaks, Mouse Tweaks, are the most common ones that do not need to be on the server and can even make sure that the server does not start.

Starts the server, you're basically done. You should then stop it again and delete the map because it will only be Vanilla. Then restart the server and create a world with the mods. After that you can go to the server.

Thanks for the complex answer. (…) "Some mods do not have to be on the server, Optifine, Minimap, JEI, NEI, Inventory Tweaks, Mouse Tweaks are the most common ones that do not need to be on the server and even make sure the server does not boot." Where do these mods come from? Because we would like to have a minimap in there and such things as Optifine or shaders are sure to come in their own files, as always, right?

Sn

The mods are of course installed on your client and of course you still have them on the server. Only the server itself does not need to work.

These are so-called client only mods. That's why you have more mods installed on your server than on the server.

Ca

Now I'm a bit confused. How exactly do I know which mods belong to the "Client Only Grouping"? We now have about 25 mods that we would like to have on the server. And they would have to be subdivided now?

Sn

Yes that's the problem. For some mods it is but most mods do not say it. But they are not that many, which I have listed are pretty much the most common in modpacks.

Then we will try that later. I did not think it would be so "complicated". Minecraft is often played by many younger people. Is there actually a better alternative than Nitrado, or are we already at the right provider? Lg Symile

Sn

Better is always purely subjective. There are likely to be arguments for not enough slots even if nobody needs more slots and infinite slots are not realistic with other providers anyway. I have been satisfied with Nitrado for years and the support is always very fast and helpful.

Se

In the video it will be explained in about 11 minutes as it is called simpler possibilities. But already over two years old.

Ca

I also heard only good things from Nitrado. We do not need more than 10 slots anyway.
