Minecraft Java slow despite a good PC?

I have a 9 3900x 32GB Ram RTX2060 Super everything is actually going well but in Minecraft Java I have a maximum of 100fps without mods and TexturePacks / Shader and it often drops to 30fps.

The task manager says, despite many things in the background, max. 20% CPU utilization.

What can I do?

Go to the settings and then to video settings, there you can set your FPS, I always use Unlimited. You can also assign more Ram in Minecraft by going to Installations in the Minecraft Launcher, clicking on the 3 dots on your version and then clicking on Process. Then click on "More options" below and then under JVM-ARGUMENTS at -Xmx2G you write how much RAM you want to allocate (e.g. 8GB ram: -Xmx8G).

I used to have the "problem" on my notebook that Minecraft was always started by default with the integrated graphics chip instead of the correct graphics card. This could be solved simply by manually selecting the GPU when starting. Does your PC have an on-board graphics card? If so, that could be the reason.

Fundamentally, Minecraft benefits much less from powerful internals than most games, since as far as I know Java is a pure single-core / single-thread application. This means that in the end you can only use one of your 12 cores.

If you set the range of vision in Minecraft to the maximum, it may well be that even your actually very powerful setup fails, as absurd as that sounds.

Minecraft sometimes manages to bring even the crassest gaming PCs to their knees.

No, I don't have an integrated graphics unit.

It is clear to me that Minecraft Java can't use all of my computing power, but reliably 60fps as with my friends, with significantly weaker PCs shouldn't it be possible?!

Ho

I have already assigned more ram to no avail.

If other games run smoothly and as expected, I can think of no other reason.

How high is your render distance set?

On my brother's gtx 1080 ti setup, Minecraft doesn't run with full visibility at 60fps either.
