The game can be quite sobering at times, especially when you join a team that is not cooperating, trolling somebody or just not so good.
Important is just the fun of the matter. The comes in the game usually only with victories; i.e. If you tend to lose more often, take a break and continue later, before you lose the fun.
Over time comes the experience and you get better. Knowing the operator and the maps can be beneficial. Otherwise it's just a shooter, so tips except: "shoot at opponents." I can't give you xD Playing in a team and looking after your mates and not getting too hectic, even when time is running out (which of course makes a rush more sensible than sitting around)

I would advise you to look at portals and forums and look for fellow players. They can both explain the game to you and have competent team members.
Alone, the game can be very frustrating due to the randomly selected team members. Often you will also geflamed if you do something wrong or is a beginner.
