Was there stone armor in the game Minecraft? I always had it like that but when I wanted to google it afterwards I did not find anything.

There have never been any armor in Vanilla Minecraft. Maybe in some mods, but I know nothing specifically about that

There's no armor, but the chainmail comes very close

There's no stone armor in MC Vanilla. But there are modifications that insert one.
