How do I make Minecraft load faster?

I have Windows 7 and minecraft loads very slowly. Does it depend on each other?

No mods or plugins, Windows 10 and an SSD and the game loads in a few seconds.

May be due to the mods. A friend of mine uses 240 mods - Minecraft takes 4 min to boot despite NVMe SSD and Windows 10. If you play Minecraft on a 2009 netbook with an HDD, the problem is self-explanatory.

Have only 5 mods and one of them should actually make the game load faster

Oh well. What kind of hardware are you playing on? The Forge Modloader also needs a bit to load.
