Why is my Minecraft sound no longer working?

I play on Minecraft version 1.12.2. I have been able to play with it easily in the past few days, but the next day, my Minecraft clay was suddenly gone. I tried all possible key combinations with T3, reinstalled the game, watched YT videos and other advice and nothing helps. Nothing can be helped with the sound settings of the volume mixer.
