Infinity with Enchanted Arrow (Minecraft)?

If I have a bow with Infinity 1 and only one arrow with (for example) a poison arrow in the inventory, can I shoot with poison arrows all the time or are they only usable once?

Once only. That would be cool.

But with crossbows you can do that, just enchant with piercing and shoot straight up. If you get hit by that, you can still pick it up!
