I plan to get a gt 1030 as a transition card, unfortunately I'm not sure whether you could play games like minecraft gta or cs go with it
The GTX 1050 is already borderline, with a 1030 you will not be happy
The 1030 is the lowest that works. This is a maximum for office PCs that have no igpu / apu installed. Games are absolutely not recommended with the card!
But I've seen videos about where you can just play minecraft
But with GTA you can't even start the game on the lowest settings
You should at least buy a GTX 1050ti
A GT 1030 is NOT a gaming card, it is an office card that was developed for desktop applications. GTX 780ti and above BTW. A 1050Ti is enough to gamble, I gambled almost everything on it and that until the day before yesterday.
Best if you need a good card like said 780ti and up and best a 60s or 70s OR 80s series so to b. GTX 960, GTX 970, GTX 980 (even better than a 1660ti) or a GTX 780 …
GT 710 still exists and believe me, the 1030 is LUXURY
If you just want to play Minecraft GTA battlefront… The COMPLETELY ranges from top to bottom, from left to right and from center to outside COMPLETELY, believe me
But then really everything on low to medium in 1080p, otherwise you have FPS problems.
and shaders in Minecraft can certainly be forgotten
That's right. But between ultimately bad (710) super bad (1030) and bad (1050) there's no difference when the games lag like hell
A 1050ti is sufficient but is the worst recommendation you can make.
The worst would be a 780ti unless you get the 1050 with 2GB I zu.b. Had the 4GB
Csgo yes conditionally on low
Minecraft possibly
GTA NO
It is the worst recommendation because for a few euro more you get around 40-55% more performance. Price / performance garbage and therefore, in fact, a bad or one of the worst recommendations
I've been following the answers here a little.
And I just wanted to leave a simple comment at first. But then this has become quite complex. So I rebuilt this into a complete answer:
Neither the GT 1030 nor the much older GT 710 are gaming graphics cards.
And of course the more modern GT 1030 is also significantly more powerful.
It can, for example, decode modern videos via hardware and thus massively relieve the CPU. And due to the low power consumption, there are also passively cooled models that work practically noiselessly. They are therefore also often used in home theater PCs.

The GT 710 costs only a fraction of the GT 1030 and is still very suitable for very simple purposes (office computer without multimedia).
But if you compare the GT 1030 with a couple of "GTX" gas pumps from Nvidia:
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...3726vs2187
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...3726vs3649
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...3726vs3639
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...3726vs4056
And the last compared graphics card (GTX 1660 super (6GB)) is an appropriate "entry-level" graphics card for a Ryzen 5-3600 (6/12).
The GTX 1050ti (4GB) is still a reasonably affordable "emergency nail" for more up-to-date systems. At FullHD (1920x1080) this graphics card reaches its limits in more complex 3D games. There's then a little lack of power and VRam.
(I have a GTX 1050ti myself in my old system (at 1680x1050) and would use it for an upgrade for the time being and only buy a current graphics card when it is available again at reasonable prices.
Games such as Minecraft, CS: GO, but also Fortnite can easily be used in FullHD with very playable FPS. These games are also quite undemanding in terms of hardware. Most of the other games are much more demanding.
And as for the favorite games:

(Select game and enter hardware data (CPU, Graka, Ram, BS))
Here more detailed hardware data is required and only at the end do you choose the game:
https://pc-builds.com/cyri/
These two game comparison pages only provide rough results, as only the most important parameters can be used for the calculation.
So please only view the results as a possible trend.
And please: stay away from this GT 1030 (2GB)!
I hope I was able to help you further with my remarks.
