My son has a question what does the Creeper actually eat. A Minecraft dog is also given a bone or the chickens and sheep eat grain.
So Ingame you can't feed them.

Creeper can't be fed in Minecraft. These are like e.g. Spiders aggressively and attack the player. Such mobs (that's what the creatures in Minecraft are called) can usually only (if at all) be tamed with so-called mods (modifications / expansions of the game)

The creepers generally eat, as Endivie04 already said nothing! However, in Minecraft history, the Creeper is dubbed a "sand eater" because, according to Minecraft's story, it became a creeper by eating sand and gunpowder.
