4GB graphics card?

Have you heard you should take at least 6 or is 4 enough to start with?

Would play games like Minecraft, Forza, etc.

You should find out which graphics card is good / necessary for the individual games and then decide which one you buy because not all games are the same!

4GB only have entry-level graphics cards today. For proper and future-proof gaming you should already take at least 6, meanwhile it doesn't cost the world either.

All data such as textures, shaders etc. Are stored in the video memory. Depending on the game, more is needed and the resolution also plays a role. For many games nowadays 4GB VRAM is almost the minimum to be able to play properly, 6GB is a good buffer, some games like Monster Hunter World with the UDH Texture PAck even require 6GB, even games like Assassins Creed Odyssey run significantly better with more VRAM.

8GB VRAM would probably be optimal at the moment to be able to use everything and to have a future-proof graphics card. And since 1440p is becoming more popular, that's not a bad idea either.

AMD has a few good models with 8GB VRAM in its range.

4 GB VRAM is a little bit even for gaming on Full HD. You can now easily get 6 GB of VRAM.

There are games now, and even 6 GB will be scarce. Mind you with FullHD. The trend is definitely increasing. If you consider that the upcoming game consoles will have at least 8GB VRam and the game developers will adjust to it, you can assume that these 8GB VRam will also be necessary on the PC. At least in the future.
