Is it possible to play the new beta without an RTX-Series graphics card with ray tracing? Seems to be possible, but it doesn't work for me
No.
No for raytracing you also need a graphics card that can do raytracing.
You can't paint without a pen either.
Normal GPUs can do that too, but not nearly as quickly. The PTGI shader for Minecraft also runs on 10XX cards from Nvidia.
Yes, this is also possible with Pascal (GTX 10XX cards), but not with earlier cards.
Yes, but then you have below 0 fps
No, my 1070 TI can do ray tracing in Minecraft Java with 50 FPS including several other mods that improve the graphics.
This is about the Win10 RTX version, which is specially designed for RTX cards, since the RTX support new technologies… I don't think you can get the MC RTX edition to run on a GTX… It's not about shaders like SEUS on the Java version…
No it is not, it uses DirectX ray tracing and Nvidia unlocked it for Pascal cards last year. In principle, it is therefore executable. The ray tracing is not really extensive than that of the SEUS shader and the rendering engine of the Bedrock Edition is much more efficient, so it should even work relatively well on Pascal cards.
