So I play with friends on a Minecraft server. I would also like to mate Villager but they don't keep food. What should I do, or why is that?

But make enough beds!
They only take in bread, carrots and bread. Maybe something else I've forgotten.
What kind of food did you give the villager? It has to be something that can be planted and it can take a while for them to mate.
I recommend you to build a villager breeder. The best design in my opinion was shown by LogicalGeekBoy.
You probably exhibited the gamerule mobGriefing. This prevents mobs (e.g. Creepers) from destroying blocks. Unfortunately, it also prevents villagers from picking up items.
Enter the following in chat to disable the rule so villagers can pick up food again:
/ gamerule mobGriefing true
