Minecraft server is overloaded by me?

I host a Minecraft server via a VPS (PaperMC, 1.14.4). As long as I'm not on the server, everything is fine. As soon as I figure it out (and I'm just the third player), I get a regular message that the server is overloaded and there are corresponding lags. As long as I'm not on it, everything works fine, even with 6 players. You have to say that I hardly reach 60 FPS in the MC with shader, even though my system load does not even exceed 40%. Does anyone have a clue?

Look at how much RAM you gave the server and how much RAM your V server has. You can set it in the Start.sh or Start.bat file if you have a start file for it. It's best to see how it works on the Internet because I don't know it by heart now c: MFG

The server has allocated 4GB (the VPS has 8) and does not even begin to use it.

Is your CPU under heavy load? So from your server

As soon as I'm on it, at least one core is almost permanently at 100%. So it's no wonder. But as I said: As long as I'm not on it, that's not the case.

Try to reset the world when it no longer works or pack a few plugins out if this is a mod or plugin server

It was an approach of mine, but I haven't done it yet, because I don't actually use a mod that is CPU-heavy. I actually rather appreciate the problem with me, since it only occurs when I'm on the server.

Try to delete your player data in the folder of the world. If it is a public server, people may give you strange items that are not visible to you. But it can also be a bug that is on the server or your client

Hmm, I actually just had the idea. I'll try that, hopefully it helps…

No problem. I like to help c

The approach was good: I had an armor plug on it and used it myself. Then I changed a few settings of the plugin. Obviously this was a problem because after I replaced this armor it worked ^^
