Minecraft server over LAN and Wi-Fi?

I created a Minecraft server, opened ports, assigned enough ram.

If the PC is connected to the Wi-Fi, my other PC could join the server, only with large lags.

Now I plugged in a LAN cable to maximize the performance, but the server is not working at all. Ports are still released (fritz box) and the console also runs normally.

The Lan cable is several years old. And if I use a speed test, the download speed fluctuates quite a bit.

Unlocking ports doesn't help if you're on the same network. It only brings you that you can connect from the outside.

Which ip do you enter you have to enter the local from the server.

st

Do you like to describe the structure? How is your network wired? Are there fixed IP addresses?

va

You are aware that when you plug in the country your computer often gets a new ip

fa

I enter localhost, or the ip of the computer, but no result

fa

Pc 1: lankabel 1: "socket": lankabel 3: router: lankabel 3: "socket": lankabel 2: Pc2

The Ips rarely renew themselves

fa

Yes, I'm aware of this but what does this knowledge bring me?

st

I beg your pardon? I have no idea what you're writing. Do you like to use words?

va

Then the server is probably reachable on the new IP

fa

This is what the system looks like. Object 1, ":" means connection with. What exactly did you want to know

sy

On the server you can enter localhost but on the other PC you have to enter the ip from the server.

fa

But it is not

fa

"Or the ip of the computer". I also use no-ip on the server and the domain also means that I can't access the mc server

va

Thin question, but do you already have the MC Server tilt starter and the host the server is running on? And before you can put the cable in Wi-Fi disabled?

st

Unfortunately, you can only use limited characters when inquiring, therefore:

So your router has land plugs, am I right in assuming that both PCs are connected to it via cable and that you have deactivated the Wi-Fi on your gaming PC? Does your gaming PC still have internet at the time?

st

Have you ever read about leasetime?

fa

My router goes to an external landose and the other landose is in another room. 2 cables go into the socket in room 2 and one cable from landose in room 1 into the router.

va

Yes, why the question?

st

As long as it runs, you will not get a new IP in the situation. And plaster routers like to set 30min + by default.

fa

The pc 1 is the server, I restarted the minecraft server several times and the pc gets the internet from the lan cable.

va

Yes, I know, but when you connect a device to the WLAN it has an IP and then changes to lan the other and I myself had times with my laptop that it had problems switching from WLAN to lan and I then deactivated WLAN and restarted the laptop and then everything went fine

va

And pc2 wants to connect to the server on pc1?

fa

Exact pc 1 also has the older LAN cable

va

It could be, I had the problem at least that when the server is running on Windows the firewall twitches and you even have to open ports in the firewall of the server… At least I had it that way

st

If you assign a different metric to the two interfaces, the error is gone.

fa

The firewall had nothing to do with it
