My friends and I wanted to start minecraft again. You need a private server for this. On the whole pages where you can rent servers, you can choose how much RAM you would like to have. One gigabyte is free and if you want more you have to pay extra. My question is how much RAM space you need to play with 4-6 people on a server without lags.
It depends on how many mods… With a 200 mods modpack I would take at least 6GB. If only 10 mods or so, 1-4 GB are usually enough. I would also recommend Minehub.de if you are looking for cheap servers. They are really great. If you already have a hoster - also ok.
10Gb RAM is recommended for reasonable servers… It doesn't matter if only 1 player is playing or 15
With an older question people write that you need about 100Mb per slot. So 1GB is enough. However, you should have the map generated beforehand, in any case a few thousand blocks, because if all players go in all directions, lags could otherwise occur.
Corrected again
1GB is enough for a maximum of 10 players
Do not have a host yet, thanks for the recommendation! Do you know how much storage space you need so that there are no problems for four?
That also depends on the mods. I would use 10GB for many, 5GB for a few.
A little bit when you play with mods.
We don't really want mods, just play a little survival.
I see. I thought you wanted a forge server. Wrong question. Anyway, 1GB Ram and 3-5GB are enough.
