The Java Edition is only available for the PC. The Windows 10 Editions belongs to the Bedrock Edition. Xbox, PS4 and Switch also belong to the Bedrock Edition.
All people who have the Bedrock Edition can play with each other.
So Xbox, PS4 and Switch can play Minecraft together.
Everyone who has the Java Edition can only play with other people who also have the Java Edition.
The Java Edition is the original Minecraft. Most and known servers are for this version. This costs 24 euro on http://www.minecraft.net/...ecraft.net
The Windows 10 Edition is the Bedrock Edition, which is available on all platforms and for the PC in the Windows 10 Store. Thanks to Crossplay it is possible with his friends on e.g. Playing console together. This costs 27 euro in the Microsoft Store

Well the PTGI shader is up a lot nicer and more realistic than the version of Nvidia and uses path tracing as well. The Java version is and remains better than the Bedrock version in every respect

You can only play on Minecraft PE servers with Minecraft PE / Windows 10 Edition. If you want to play with your friends, you have to buy the Minecraft Java Edition. Unfortunately there's no other option.

Where is it expensive? Gives good games for some 60-80 euro normal price.
