Jo folks, I bought Minecraft and was happy to play a bit in multiplayer but since I bought it, it says when I want to go to a server the server was shut down for maintenance and that's been the case for 3 or 4 days now. What can I do? Why is that?

Hi

for me it was also for 2 days, either you go to mojang help and ask or just wait.

I don't understand what you mean by multiplayer when you talk about server

Chances are you're trying to connect to a private Minecraft server. These are often managed by private persons or organizations and use various modifications (called server-side plugins) to simplify the administration of their users. One of the common settings is that if the connection is unsuccessful, the message "Maintenance work" appears due to a whitelist. This can be when the team carries out updates, changes or tests new features.

In rare cases, however, they may have finished their work and the server will soon go offline. You can usually find all of this information on their website.

Otherwise try to connect to a different server. There are many networks and can be reached using a Google search.

If you talked about a realm server, there should be no current problems according to Mojang Status. Otherwise, get in touch with further information in the comment field.

I try to connect to servers like Hypixel or GommeHD and the maintenance message comes to every single one.

Strange. If necessary, a screenshot of the error message would help. Or a check of your firewall (e.g. If you have problems verifying the authenticity of your account).

The question is, where did you buy minecraft. Set up an account on the official Mojang site and through Microsoft, or via some dubious old site. With the latter you can't play Minecraft (demo only) because you need a valid email address, username and password, as well as a Microsoft account.

How can I put in a screenshot here?

I bought it from the official Mojang website (java edition) but for Windows 10, so Microsoft, and then I saved an email address, password and everything else. Also, I used what I think is the official Minecraft launcher.

For the common servers you need the Java Edition, Windows 10 will not work there, probably only servers that also support it.
