Jo folks, I bought Minecraft and was happy to play a bit in multiplayer but since I bought it, it says when I want to go to a server the server was shut down for maintenance and that's been the case for 3 or 4 days now. What can I do? Why is that?

Chances are you're trying to connect to a private Minecraft server. These are often managed by private persons or organizations and use various modifications (called server-side plugins) to simplify the administration of their users. I try to connect to servers like Hypixel or GommeHD and the maintenance message comes to every single one.
Strange. If necessary, a screenshot of the error message would help. Or a check of your firewall (e.g. If you have problems verifying the authenticity of your account).
The question is, where did you buy minecraft. Set up an account on the official Mojang site and through Microsoft, or via some dubious old site. With the latter you can't play Minecraft (demo only) because you need a valid email address, username and password, as well as a Microsoft account.

I bought it from the official Mojang website (java edition) but for Windows 10, so Microsoft, and then I saved an email address, password and everything else. Also, I used what I think is the official Minecraft launcher.
For the common servers you need the Java Edition, Windows 10 will not work there, probably only servers that also support it.
