TFR server without Hamachi?

I host a Minecraft and TTT server. At that time I used my friends to join my server with Hamachi. Since you can only be up to 5 people on a network for free, I want to join my IP just like with my Minecraft. I know from my Minecraft server that I need to have a port open in the router and in the win firewall. In the end, it did not work because a Java program blocked the firewall. And now it is again the case (with the TTT server). Which programs may not block or are important if I want to have the port open on the TTT server?

In the router normally open the ports, and if you want to make sure that it works as long as the Windows Firewall off.

St

The firewall is not turned off lightly - you search until you have found the riffchtige attitude and then uses them…

St

I can still remember that you blocked arbitrary Java instances back then - and this block is about to be approved…

So delete the blocked rules, start your server and then decide correctly - with Allow…

En

Nevertheless, this is first to test a source of error less… Moreover, it is not that everyone arrives directly and then chops someone. That's nonsense…

I did not touch the firewall at the time, so it was still untouched. But in the firewall I have Steam not found. Is there Steam in the firewall or what do you think could block the requests again?

St

Steam does not need a firewall firewall…

You're hosting Minecraft, are not you? And Minecraft is based on Java - if you block Java, the server does not work outside…

St

But mostly you turn off the firewall, and then everything goes great first, then you forget - because everything is going so well and out of laziness - to turn them back on…

And the biggest problem follows - you install Hamachi…

Resourceful kids read all your personal data and change important passwords.

The firewall is a protection - with the tool Tcpview you can find out exactly which port is connected or sends requests…

YOU should take a look at that…

St

If you want, I can do that for you too, via Teamviewer, Anydesk or whatever you want…

Windows always reminds you that the firewall is off.

And if that works with the ports etc, you uninstall Hamachi and one less risk.

I never said that the firewall should stay permanently disabled.

Besides, I do not have to look at it because I keep releasing my ports, hosting servers, etc.

And when it comes to telling me just how bad this idea is, because it excludes a source of errors etc, so please do so privately, because then this has nothing to do with the question.

When I post here, I think there are always enough people reading, so this answer always goes to the general public…

I'm only posting, regarding your answer concerning, so that the sense remains intact…

That you have never said that the firewall should be disabled, I realize, you may not do it, but all the "followers" here, they forget that… Because it goes so well…

I have never turned off the firewall in my whole hoster career sometime…

First of all, it's just a matter of excluding sources of errors, and of course you should look for something like this, when it's up and running again, and then if it does not run anymore, look for the exact error. But then at least you know where it is.

And yes, the firewall should not be permanently off, but as already mentioned, Windows always points out, if you like z. B. The computer goes up, then who does not turn on again is itself guilt.

I have already written to you because of that, but unfortunately you did not answer. That's fine by me. I've already tried it myself. Port in the network is indeed enabled, which is why it is probably back to the firewall. There I have already released the port, which is why I think another program blocks it (as Minecraft Java did) and therefore the question about Steam.

St

Where did you write me?

I do not use Discord (regularly) so I do not read anything there…

But will be back in the evening with me…

So, what we did now: First we downloaded TCPViwer: https://docs.microsoft.com/...ds/tcpview

Then we looked at which ports the server uses. All of these ports were then enabled on my network. Lastly, we released the server (the program) in the firewall and it worked. Whether one should release all the haven, which uses the server, I do not know, but one should s.besten try out, if vllt. Even a single one is enough. (We in the sense of me and deruser1973)
