I've been playing Minecraft on Windows 7 for a long time and mostly never had any problems. However, since my PC is not the best, I use Optifine for version 1.15.2 to enjoy a reasonably smooth game (20-30fps).
When I then updated my PC to Windows 10, the game runs very slowly on every version (also with Optifine) (2-8fps). I have already tried to reinstall Java and Minecraft and have updated all drivers but to no avail.
Why is that and how can you fix it?
Note: I got the "Error Glfw 65542" error every time I started the game after the Windows 10 update. However, I was able to fix this by inserting the "OpenGL32" file in the Java folder. Maybe the problem is somewhere.
Windows 10 is a resource eater. The PC is probably just running at the limit.
So it went well for me with Windows 10 … Until in December my PC lost 50-80% of its performance for inexplicable reasons… And now I get strong freezes and it is really bad…
I can't explain why.
What hardware does your PC have and how much ram have you assigned to Minecraft?
