I have installed Forge for the 1.12.2 and added some mods for a nicer world. But now the chunks in my single player world load very slowly. If I fly in one direction and fall back to the ground after about 100 blocks and hit a sheep, it will only move again after a few seconds. I always have this problem. I have tried it myself with a single mod (also different, it is by no means s.einer particular mod) and it has still loaded so slowly. In addition, I have assigned Minecraft 6GB Ram, which are at most 30% busy. Need urgent help, because I simply have no plan why that is. If there are any questions, I answer quickly.
The question title is not quite correct. The chunks usually load fast enough, but for a few seconds it's like having a high ping on a server.
