Hi, I have a texture pack from version 1.8 and would like to update this texture pack into a 1.15.1 texture pack.
I know that I would have to add a lot of files because a lot of new content has been released in the meantime, but I could actually get these files from a current 1.15.1 texture pack right?
Unfortunately, I don't quite see through what is there now, because sometimes the folders and names of the files are different.

Every developer of texturepacks also releases new texture packs for new versions. Simply download the right one from the manufacturer's side, done. There's no fumbling in any files.
If yours is not up to date, then the developer has not updated anything and you have to look for something else.
Yes, that's exactly the problem. There's only one version of the texture pack and nothing else. But if that's the case, I'll look for something else.
