I have been playing with an iMac for 2-3 years now, at the beginning very simple, now also with shaders, texture packs ect. But you can tell that the computer is quite overwhelmed, I sometimes play with 10 FPS and you can fry fried eggs on that thing;), since the fans are no longer the best. The iMac is a 2011 model with a Core i5 and 32GB of RAM, meaning it is actually not a problem for Minecraft. The graphics card is all the worse for that: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512mb. Since I do not want to buy a new PC, here's my question: Can you replace the graphics card with a better one? You can buy the same model with a gigabyte, but that's still not enough for the price. Are there other models with e.g. 2GB or more? My price-pain limit would be 150 euro, I do the installation myself.
