I'm at my wits end. As already described in the title, my PC simply restarts when playing or downloading various games. A good friend is very familiar with computers and set up the computer with me. I've had this problem since December and we just can't find a solution. It can't be the hardware, because we checked everything several times. The graphics card (NVIDIA RTX 2060) is completely new, as is the power supply from be quiet. The mainboard can't be a reason either, as my friend had this board for 4 years without any problems in the same case with the same CPU as me. We ran the benchmark, and it can't be due to overheating either. The PC doesn't even come close to its limits. The average temperature for the CPU is 55 ° C and the temperature for the graphics card is 70 ° C. My pc is not overloaded or anything. My CPU has 4 cores, and I saw from a survey that over 40% still have 4 cores. I really don't know what to do next… There's also no error message. The restart does not happen even when the workload is high. For example, in normal Minecraft: the PC is almost not used there. Maybe it's overclocking, but there's no broken cable… I don't know. Can someone help me there? LG
It could be a virus
So: do a virus scan (e.g. With Malwarebytes)
or reset the PC
What does the Windows Event Viewer say?
Thank you for the reply! The thing is, I have Windows Defender and that runs continuously. My friend is also convinced of this and has never had any problems because it always went well. He recently took my pc to check it and reset the pc and reset the bios, etc.
Thanks for the answer! This is a critical error: that the power supply was unintentionally interrupted. But I don't understand. It can't be the power supply! Lg
Windows Defender is good, but not the best. I still recommend Malwarebytes.
