Java doesn't work for a friend of mine, we've tried everything. Or. The Forge installation file (jar file) can't be opened. Is there any way to install (or download) Forge as an EXE file?
If forge doesn't work then minecraft doesn't need Java either
Minecraft works for him, only he can't open the jar file
Does he have the bedrock / windows 10 edition?
Ne, normal Java edition
Because Java works too (sorry I wrote it earlier), but the jar file can't be opened…
And he also has the latest Java version and so installed
As far as I know there's no exe. If his Java didn't work, he wouldn't be able to play Minecraft either. What is the standard way to open the jar?
Strange forge there's so much I only know as a jar file, you also downloaded the version for Windows, maybe try the universal version, the PC simply does nothing or shows that it can't open the file
So for the first time nothing opened when he opened the file, but before that a window opened (with Java logo) but in the window you could only enter commands (looked exactly like a normal CMD / command prompt window)
Download the JarFix program.
Then he should install a java runtime and use it as an opener
Minecraft has its own Java with it. Therefore you can play Minecraft without Java.
