Minecraft village on the island or under water?

I wanted to start a bigger Minecraft project soon. I would like to build an extraordinary village for Villager. Either I build a village on a self-made island or an underwater village that stands in a huge glass house. What do you think is cooler and why?

If you do well with light etc, it gives a cool effect with the right tp and shader
