If I start 1.8.9 and set a few hotkeys there and then start another version, the hotkeys are gone. When I go back to 1.8.9 everything is gone. Can I somehow avoid this? Can you set somewhere that each version uses its own config file?
You can use another launcher that stores the different profiles and settings separately. I use Twitch for this. A separate installation for each Minecraft version, for each Modpack. No problems with changing and the settings.
