I went in search of the Stronghold. I found this one too, but I can't find the portal room. I've now walked all the way over 3 times, but it just doesn't work. I'm already looking for about 2 hours and it's really no longer fun. Tips?
Sometimes, especially when the stronghold is very low, it may not be generated at all.
Here is a selection of tips:
Again, use the pearls (Eye of Ender) above the surface and dig right down from above
Activate Xray (Cheat) to see through walls or use glitches (lava, sand)
Learn the architecture of Strongholds via Youtube and Mojang to understand them
